Health Podcast Ghana – Trailer

Dear brothers and sisters, ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome to health podcast!

In medicine there are many difficult problems, like hypertension, obesity, pregnancy related issues and so on and on. It would be helpful to get a good explanation as a patient, to know what to do! With Health podcasts we would like to fully explain these difficult medical problems. When you as a listener know more about medical conditions, you know what to do to prevent or treat problems.

Podcasts may be new to you. It are audio files which you can easily download with a smartphone from a podcast app. Once downloaded you can endlessly repeat them. We want to also broadcast this audio via radio to reach people without a smartphone.

Our mission is to make podcasts about many different subjects and  in different languages, to start with English, Dagbani and Kumkumba. We have a great variety of important subjects, to start with Cardiovascular disease and what you can do to prevent this. Our podcasts are and will stay free of charge and free of influences from pharmaceutical companies, politics or religion. They will give a pure explanation of diseases so you as a listener will be able to get more knowledge of diseases, to be able to take good care of your own health

The podcasts are currently made by three people and based and funded by a dutch general practitioner podcasts group, named Huisarts Podcast. This means podcasts for general practitioners and patients.

The team of 3 people are;

Hafiz Gbabillana Danaa, fitness specialist, based in Tamale

Femke Veldman, dutch general practitioner and founder of the mentioned Huisarts Podcast
